What is Lower Back Pain? 

If you have Low back pain you are not alone. It is the number 1 cause of pain globally. The pain can be localised around the lower back region, or with radiating pain into the buttocks and down the legs. The pain can be sharp and shooting, or deep and aching, and may also involve numbness, burning, tingling, aching.

At Keystone Chiropractic & Yoga, our chiropractors take a holistic approach to Lower Back Pain, we assess the whole body to look for the underlying issues rather than just treating symptoms. 

There are many causes of Low Back Pain and an accurate diagnosis is important to make sure your treatment assesses these underlying issues. Your initial appointment will include a review of what has lead up to your Lower Back Pain and a physical examination to assess both the underlying problem and the compensatory stresses and strains this has caused.

For any treatment to be effective both the cause and compensatory issues need to be addressed. We will work with you to provide a personalised treatment plan to help you get back to doing all the things you love as quickly as possible. 

Your treatment will be aimed to restore balance and mobility to your body. It will include a combination of soft tissue releases and mobilisations, chiropractic adjustments (where appropriate), and exercises and stretches to correct postural imbalances and help prevent future episodes of Low Back Pain.

 We also have yoga and tai chi classes to improve flexibility and fitness in the long term.
