What is Neck pain? 

Everything we do is in front of us. Our head leans forwards and our shoulders pull in. This places heavy loads onto our neck so it shouldn't come as a surprise that neck pain is so common.

Neck pain can be localised in the head, neck and shoulder region, or associated with headaches, vertigo or pain radiating down the arms.

The pain can be sharp and shooting, or deep and aching, and may also involve numbness, burning, tingling, aching.

 At Keystone Chiropractic & Yoga, our chiropractors take a holistic approach to Neck Pain, we assess the whole body to look for the underlying issues rather than just treating symptoms.

There are many causes of Neck Pain and an accurate diagnosis is important to make sure your treatment assesses these underlying issues. Your initial appointment will include a review of what has lead up to your Neck Pain and a physical examination to assess both the underlying problem and the compensatory stresses and strains this has caused.

For any treatment to be effective both the cause and compensatory issues need to be addressed. We will work with you to provide a personalised treatment plan to help you get back to doing all the things you love as quickly as possible.

Your treatment will be aimed to restore balance and mobility to your body. It will include a combination of soft tissue releases and mobilisations, chiropractic adjustments (where appropriate), and exercises and stretches to correct postural imbalances and help prevent future episodes of Neck Pain.

We also have yoga and tai chi classes to improve flexibility and fitness in the long term.
